Waymart is a friendly, fun filled village abounding with engaging recreation for all visitors. At one of the highest points east of the Mississippi river, Waymart locales command amazing views said to reach New York on a clear day. This charming town was named a State Heritage Corridor on Rt 6 in Pennsylvania by Governer Rendell under the PA Heritage Areas Program to celebrate the industries and transportation corridor that helped build this great nation. Moving ever forward, Waymart is now the home to the Waymart Wind Farm, the second largest wind farm in Pennsylvania, providing clean energy distributed through the Mid-Atlantic region.
