52 acre Lake Lacawac is center piece of a 520 acre nature preserve. 5 hiking trails are open to the public and include such highlights as Lake Lacawac, The Ledges, Partner Ridge, A Boreal Bog, Heron Pond, Wallenpuapack Vista, and more. The rustic 1903 Adirondack Great Camp complex is considered an historic and architectural gem. Walking tours of the Great Camp and surrounding natural areas are offered regularly at no charge. Visitors also have a unique opportunity to observe various scientific environmental research projects in action. Lacawac is a DCNR- Pennsylvania Native Wild Plant Sanctuary.
