Shower for Charity

Saturday, December 10th is the annual Shower for Charity on Main Street in Honesdale starting at 10:00 am! Stop by and support Micheal G. Stanton as he braves the frigid temperatures to raise money for the Wayne County Children's Christmas Bureau. If you'd like to donate you can call: 570-237-6178
The Shower for Charity started over 31 years ago helps to raise money for Wayne County Children to make sure that every child has a gift during the holiday season. Michael G. Stanton and Bold Gold Media have produced over 21 Showers for Charity in all kinds of weather. In subzero temperatures, brutal winds, blizzards, failed hot water heaters, and with icicles hanging from his shorts, nothing stops him from showering on main street until they meet their goal. In 2021, the goal was to raise $30,000. Thanks to the generosity of the community, over $40,000 was raised for the Wayne County Children's Bureau.
