About Your Instructor: Mikki Uzupes spent 25 years as a professional journalist in the region, first at The News Eagle, where she held multiple positions including managing editor, and then as news director for the local Bold Gold Media radio stations. She has received an award from the PA Newspaper Association for beat reporting and an Excellence Award from the PA Association of Broadcasters. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communications from Point Park University, Pittsburgh, and has been serving as Digital Media Specialist for Wayne County since 2017.
