Tickets runsignup.com/lacawac Lacawac Sanctuary is pleased to announce the 7th annual Lake to Lake 8K Trail Run and Woods Walk/Dog Wag Sunday October 18th on the trails of Lacawac in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania. Run and walk through the trails of Lacawac Sanctuary-over 400 acres of wonder, biodiversity and natural beauty. Dogs welcome and encouraged for the woods walk. COURSE This outdoor course winds through 550 acres of wooded nature trails and access roads, all on the grounds of Lacawac Sanctuary. Be advised that sections of the course are technical, rocky and steep. RESULTS Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chip timing by Scranton Running Company. AWARDS 8K Trail Run: Overall male and female, plus top finisher in age groups: 15 and younger; 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ Wooks Walk and Dog Wag: Non-competitive PARKING AND DIRECTIONS Lacawac Sanctuary has limited parking, please consider carpooling. GPS coordinates: 41 22.582N - 075 17.980W COST AND REGISTRATION 8K Trail Run: $25 before 10/4; $30 after Woods Walk/Dog Wag Individual: $15 before 10/4; $20 after (Man's best friend-no registration fee) COVID IMPACT AND SAFETY PROCEDURES In light of Covid-19 we will be following CDC guidelines. Hand sanitizer available for usage throughout the event including at packet pick-up and near the start and finish areas. The start line and finish line will be in separate locations in order to minimize large group gatherings. We will also have a socially distant start to keep runners that are about to start separate from each other. All participants are required to bring their own personal hydration system to use during the race. We recommend online registration (paperless). There will be no medal ceremony after the race. All finisher medals and awards will be mailed to participants. Participants will be required to wear a mask when not racing. Masks are required in the start area and again in the finish area. All runners are encouraged to wear their masks through the start line and take it off once you are clear of the start area. Participants are encouraged but not required to wear a mask while racing on the course. Participants should remain in their cars away from the start/finish area until 15 minutes before start time block and remain socially distant when not in the start corral. If passing any participant on the course, please allow 6-10ft between you and the other participant or pedestrian. There will be a limited number of restrooms available for use at the start/finish area and along the course. We encourage you to use the restroom prior to arriving onsite at the event.
