Enjoy a week day performance on Martin Luther Kind Jr. Day! A lively jazz performance by the Marywood University’s Jazz Ambassadors!
The project “Hybrid” presented by the Marywood Jazz Ambassadors is an ensemble assembled to explore the styles laid out by legendary African American composers. Hybrid explores Funk, New Orleans 2nd Line, and Soul Jazz, performing works by Sly and the Family Stone, The Rebirth Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, and famous jazz brothers Nat and Cannonball Adderley. Members of the ensemble all have futures in music, with their sights on degrees in Music Education, Music Therapy, and Performance.
