Time: May 15, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Page’s book, Materials on Hand; a poetic tale of compassionate caregiving, was written as a poem a day over the last 14 months of her mother’s life and shines a light on the fine line between heartache and beauty. A spiritual journey set against the backdrop of dementia, the book serves as a roadmap to transcendence. Piercingly honest and self-aware, Page Nolker distills the complex intricacies of caregiving into simple revelations about what it means to be human?and the transforming power of unconditional love. Written with humor and compassion in a voice anyone can relate to, Materials on Handreminds us that the potential for joy exists within even in the darkest sorrow. Bringing her perspective and poetry to the podium, Page will share with us the process she used to transform her own suffering.

Materials on Hand is an original, not your typical poetry book in form or content -- it is exquisite and engaging story-telling that captures an uplifting journey.
