Business Planning for Startups by SCORE

In this seminar we will detail the following information, all of which should be covered in any business’ beginning stages: General Company Description, Products and Services, Marketing Plan, Operational Plan, Management and Organization, Personal Financial Statement, Startup Expenses and Capitalization Financial Plan. Service Corp of Retired Executives (SCORE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs.
About Your Instructor: Charlie Schaefer, SCORE Mentor: Charlie has been a SCORE volunteer the last two years and has helped numerous clients with starting a business and support on business planning for ongoing businesses. Charlie’s professional career spans four decades primarily serving the insurance industry where he worked as a system engineer on multiple insurance systems, project manager for insurance system development, business operations, data center manager, and most recently as a management consultant to the insurance industry. Charlie has completed over 35 management consulting engagements for Life and Property and Casualty (P&C) companies ranging in size from the smallest P&C Mutual insurance company to the largest Life and P&C companies. These engagements went from a functional area in a company to an enterprise business and technology plan. Charlie served as a Medical Service Corps Officer in the 101st Airborne Division, US Army and received his Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees from Rutgers, The State University, New Brunswick, NJ.
